Burnice Overview
In Zenless Zone Zero, Burnice is a 5-Star fire character from the Sons of Calydon faction. She primarily uses anomaly-type weapons. Her ability, Nitro-Fuel Cocktail, deals fire damage to enemies when she enters the designated Heat Stage. Once in the Nitro-Fuel Cocktail state, her attacks apply a Scorched effect to enemies, inflicting heavy fire damage. Overall, Burnice is a strong off-field damage dealer.

Spin continuously while spraying flames around, ending with a powerful Fire DMG attack. Holding the skill extends the flame-spraying duration. Activating the skill consumes 20 Heat and increases Anti-Interrupt level. After the finishing move, pressing will chain into the EX Special Attack: Intense Heat Stirring Method – Double Shot.

With enough energy, press to activate.
Continuously spray flames using a one-handed flamethrower, then release a fire blast in a straight line, dealing massive Fire DMG. Hold to keep spraying and extend the duration, consuming energy steadily. While spraying, use the joystick to sidestep and adjust your position. The Anti-Interrupt Level is increased during the spray, and damage taken is reduced by 40%. Invincibility is granted during the sidestep and fire blast.
EX Special Attack
Intense Heat Stirring Method – Double Shot
When activating EX Special Attack: Intense Heat Stirring Method with enough Energy, press to activate. Use a dual-handed flamethrower to continuously spray flames, followed by a powerful fire blast in a straight line, dealing massive Fire DMG. Continue holding to keep spraying, consuming energy and extending the spray’s duration. The character is invulnerable while the spray is active and during the fire blast. The Anti-Interrupt Level increases while spraying, and incoming damage is reduced by 40%.

Dash forward quickly, then leap into the air and continuously spray flames over a wide area, dealing massive Fire DMG. During the leap, a Quick Assist is triggered, extending the flame-spraying duration. Activation also recovers 50 Heat.

Core Passive
Nitro-Fuel Cocktail
Burnice accumulates Heat as she expends Energy, up to a maximum of 100. For each point of Energy spent, she gains 1.4 Heat. Upon reaching 50 Heat, she enters the Nitro-Fuel Cocktail state, which lasts until all Heat is expended. When entering the battlefield, she immediately accumulates 100 Heat.
While in the Nitro-Fuel Cocktail state, hitting an enemy with Basic Attack: Mixed Flame Blend, EX Special Attack, Chain Attack, or Ultimate applies the Scorched effect. This effect remains until she exits the Nitro-Fuel Cocktail state. When squad members hit enemies with the Scorched status, it triggers the Afterburn effect, consuming 8 Heat to deal Fire DMG equal to 175% of Burnice’s ATK and accumulate Fire Anomaly Buildup. This can trigger once every 1.5 seconds.
Every 10 Anomaly Proficiency increases Afterburn Damage by 1%, up to a maximum of 30%. The damage from the Afterburn effect is classified as Assist Attack Damage.
Additional Ability

When a squad member is an Anomaly character or belongs to the same Faction, the following effects occur:
If Burnice’s Basic Attack: Mixed Flame Blend, EX Special Attack: Intense Heat Stirring Method, or EX Special Attack: Intense Heat Stirring Method – Double Shot hits an enemy, or if the Afterburn effect is triggered, the accumulated Fire Anomaly Buildup increases by 65%.
When any team member applies the Burn effect to the enemy, its duration is extended by 3 seconds.

Burnice’s skill enhancements increase the maximum Heat limit from 100 to 140 and grant an additional 40 Heat upon entering the battlefield. The DMG Multiplier of the Afterburn effect is doubled based on her ATK, and the accumulated Fire Anomaly Buildup from the Afterburn effect is boosted by 25%.

When hitting an enemy with EX Special Attack: Intense Heat Stirring Method – Double Shot, a special Afterburn effect is triggered, dealing 60% of Burnice’s ATK. This effect can activate every 0.5 seconds and does not consume Heat. While the move is active, its special Afterburn and Burn effects will ignore 25% of the target’s Fire RES. Additionally, if the fire blast from EX Special Attack: Intense Heat Stirring Method – Double Shot hits a Burned enemy, it will trigger extra Burn DMG equal to 1,800% of the original DMG. This extra Burn DMG effect can occur once every 20 seconds per target.
